Ocracoke Outdoor Classroom

Every Monday morning this summer, curious kids (and their parents!) can enjoy FREE Outdoor Classroom programs on Ocracoke Island.

Children in grades 3 through 7 are invited to participate. All programs begin at 10 a.m., last approximately 90 minutes, and are outdoors. Please bring water and a hat.

Programs are held at the NCCAT Outdoor Classroom located at the old Coast Guard station on the harbor, and are taught by Elizabeth Hanrahan, certified wildlife educator, wildlife rehabilitator and local resident!

In the event of rain, “Oysters in the Classroom” will be held at the Ocracoke Working Watermen’s Exhibit located on the dock at the Community Square.
